We collect and use personal information only for political outreach and engagement. The goal of this privacy policy is to set a higher standard for political engagement efforts, and we are open to suggestions and improvements in this attempt.

Personal information

Includes name, address, phone number, and email. We use this information to contact you. This data is collected and used with express consent.

Technical and usage information

Demographic information

Includes sex, language, and approximate age. We make best efforts to have volunteers contact voters in their own language.

Issue-based interests

Includes policy-based issues like climate change. We might send direct mail or other specific communications on the issues you have identified as important to you.

Political support and affiliation

Includes whether you are a member of a political party, whether you have been a member in the past, and your level of involvement in politics. We use this information to engage with existing members, identify supporters, and encourage others to become members.

How do we collect your information?

  • Direct interactions with you, including conversations at the door and on the phone, direct interactions on social media, email/mail, and forms filled out on our website, or through text messages.
  • When it is reasonably understood that the information is public, including when you provide your political views and support in a public forum or setting. This includes signs you put on your lawn, and social media posts in community groups.

Web Analytics, Tracking, and Digital Tools

We may use digital tools to enhance our online presence, measure engagement, and analyze website performance.

  • Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager: these tools can help us measure the effectiveness of online advertising, improve ad targeting, and match user profiles across platforms.
  • MS Clarity, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console: we use these analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with our website, improve user experience, and optimize content.

These tools may use cookies or similar technologies to identify your browser or device. The information collected is generally anonymized and aggregated, though in some cases it may be linked to personal information you've provided to us or to these third-party platforms.

We will communicate with you to verify your identity and resolve your request or concern within a reasonable time period (our goal is within 3 business days).

Safeguarding your Personal Information

We take reasonable steps to safeguard your information. Access is compartmentalized and restricted to those with a need to access it, through access controls. Volunteers and those performing data processing work receive privacy training to ensure safeguards remain in place. Form submissions may be stored in a secure cloud database and, where necessary, sent to internal systems (e.g., a CRM) via secure integrations.

Oversight & Auditing

We welcome auditing from privacy experts should there be interest from academic experts in the field.
